Stress and anxiety don’t have to keep you up at night, tossing and turning. The best way to eliminate stress is to release the pressure.
You may or may not have heard the phrase “not my circus, not my monkeys.” This used to be a favorite mantra of mine. Until I realized you cant’ just not deal sometimes.
When it comes to the pressure at work, and family responsibilities, those aren’t exactly something you can really just walk away from right?
When you’re stuck in the “circus” that can be life, you just have to work through the stress, the doubts, the anxiety, and the overwhelm. No more faking it til ya make it.
If the stress you are carrying stems from unprocessed emotions. Have a seat, set a timer if you need to, and just feel.
Let yourself experience what you’re body is locking up inside. Then take a look at releasing those emotions. Try writing down what’s keeping you up at night, the things you’re afraid of, or the thoughts you just can’t seem to kick…then burn the paper.
Follow that up with a releasing prayer. Here are a few verses to give it to a power that is so much greater than any and all of us.
